The aim of the Training Course is to provide in a simple and comprehensible way the most up-to-date knowledge and to develop the necessary skills for the effective development and administration of social enterprises. The curriculum is designed to help people develop their personal and professional skills as well as their innovative ideas for social, innovative and sustainable businesses in general.  Is based on a hybrid learning of four weeks e-learning and one week of experiential learning for Greek participants:

  • 22 video lectures and supportive educational material
  • Weekly activities (readings, exercises)
  • Business Opportunity Recognition Workshop
  • Business game on team working skills
  • Social Cooperative Enterprises operating processes workshop
  • Short sales activity
  • Design thinking workshop
  • Business modeling workshop, familiarisation with the beneficiaries with all the steps in the process of developing a business plan
  • Business plan development process mentoring 
  • Social enterprise business plan insights
  • Crowdsourcing ideas workshop
  • Personalised business plans coaching/mentoring on a team basis

At the end of the first training cycle, Greek participants were asked using a questionnaire, to evaluate the program in order to determine their general satisfaction. Capturing the views of trainees was a useful guide to identify any necessary adjustments for the second training cycle. The analysis of the information, provided by the participants, shows that the achievement of the objectives of the program is very successful.

Their level of satisfaction with both secretarial support and the level of knowledge they have received through lectures and educational material is particularly high and certifies the quality of the program. The majority considers that the themes that were developed were modern, understandable and related to developments in social entrepreneurship while improving their ability to design and develop initiatives with a social impact. Almost all of the participants stated that through the program developed deeper critical thinking and knowledge on social entrepreneurship.
