The Department of Business Administration of the EMaTTech and SOS Children's Villages invite you to a Press Conference and Round Table on the "Educational Programme in Social Entrepreneurship", on Monday 13 May 2019 at 11:00, at Nomarcheio, 2 Souliou St, Alexandroupoli. The event is organised with the support of the Regional Unit of Evros and the Chamber of Evros.
The event is organised in the framework of the project "Support of Social Enterprises Development and Enhancement of Employment / SoSEDEE", funded by the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A Greece Bulgaria 2014-2020 and is the result of the cooperation between the Municipality of Gotse Delchev in Bulgaria, SOS Children's Villages, and the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology. The objective of the project is the enhancement of employment of individuals belonging to vulnerable social groups and residing in the cross-border area of the Cooperation Programme. The main actions of the project are divided into two main axes: the development and implementation of the first distance learning programme in Social Entrepreneurship in the cross-border area, as well as the advisory guidance for the beneficiaries’ financial and social integration through social entrepreneurship.
In January 2019, the 1st cycle of the Educational Programme was successfully completed, with the participation of 60 trainees from Greece and Bulgaria. Twenty-eight trainees from Greece also participated in a week of experiential learning in Kavala. The 2nd cycle of the Educational Programme will take place this summer. The event will present the whole project; also, a discussion will be held with stakeholders and the audience about the Educational Programme and the results of the 1st cycle, with the aim of further adapting it to the needs of the market and the wider society.
Furthermore, on the same day (from 14:00 to 18:00), an informative action regarding the Educational Programme will take place in front of the Town Hall of Alexandroupoli.
